Adsorbent Chamber Control System (ACCS)

This course covers the theory, operation, troubleshooting capabilities, and maintenance of the ACCS as utilized in the Sorbex unit. Hardware topics covered include layout, key functions, and maintenance. Maintenance procedures focus on hardware component replacement as well as software backups and program error diagnostics. The course is conducted at the customer site where, in addition to classroom sessions, participants receive hands-on operations and maintenance training using the installed ACCS. Please note: field instrumentation and control system programming topics are not covered in this course.

Parex™ Process

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of the UOP Parex Process, including updates to the technology to ensure practical application of the material. The concepts of UOP’s family of SorbexTM simulated moving bed technologies are also addressed. Through lecture, group discussion, and problem-solving exercises, participants will learn how to optimize and troubleshoot a unit. With continued emphasis on optimization and economics, strategies for optimizing performance and reliability in an integrated complex are also discussed.
